Danaus Gilippus is a study into mental illness. The protagonist Nora, is taken into hospital after experiencing hallucinations and delusions of grandeur in which she believes she is the Queen of Butterflies. The film is an experiment in trying to use subjective camera throughout the entire film, making the viewer experience the world through Nora’s eyes.
